Regular members of KL!NK are termed “klinkers”, the Dutch word for vowel. Some members, however, have made such significant contributions to the association that they deserved to be elevated to a “hoofdletter”, meaning capital letter. This page lists those special individuals in all their glory.
The KL!NK Hoofdletters
Terry van Bunder
Together with Bart, Terry was one of the two people who founded KL!NK. He added the book club to KL!NK’s arsenal of activities, a part of KL!NK that is still going strong today. At the 2025 Q4 Gala Lustrum Founding Open Podium, Terry was made a Hoofdletter together with Bart and Maaike.
Bart van Popering
Bart was one of the two founding members of KL!NK, together with Terry. Bart guided many creative writing sessions, and was always enthusiastic about the open podiums. At the 2025 Q4 Gala Lustrum Founding Open Podium, Bart was awarded the honour of becoming a Hoofdletter. In response to this and to KL!NK becoming a full association, he gave a beautiful speech about what KL!NK means to him and the journey of KL!NK, which can be found below.
Maaike Gerritse
For Maaike, a Doppio and a Scala board year were not enough. With more experience than most can boast, she became a member of the KL!NK Activity Commission, which retroactively became more and more like a board. Then she stayed on for another year, and another, guiding the other board members with years of experience and shepherding KL!NK in its first years of life. For this contribution, Maaike was made a Hoofdletter of KL!NK at the 2025 Q4 Gala Lustrum Founding Open Podium.
