THE BIG POINTS LIST

In order to win points for your house, you need to complete KL!NK-related challenges. For every challenge, you can win a set number of KL!NKers (KL!), or, if you’re with Whimsy’s Haven, Wuhuhuhs (WHH).

Wuhuhuhs are worth far less than KL!NKers (KL!/WHH = 1000000), but are awarded in far greater numbers (if a participant from Reality’s Refuge or Ponderer’s Palace can get one KL!NKer for a challenge, then a participant from Whimsy’s Haven can get 1000000 Wuhuhuhs from that same challenge.) Note: this means there is no practical difference between Whimsy’s Haven and the other two hice.

How to earn points:

Normal activities to earn points:

  • Attend: short form writing session (5KL!)
    • Short form writing sessions are hosted every Monday evening from 19:45 to 21:00 in the Luna Religion Room
  • Attend: long form writing session (5KL!)
    • Long form writing sessions are hosted every Monday evening from 21:00 to 22:00 in the Luna Religion Room
  • Attend: book club (5KL!)
    • Bookclubs are hosted every Monday afternoon during the lunch break (12:30 – 13:30) in the Luna Living Room
    • In Q1, The Three Body Problem by Liu Cixin is discussed
  • Attend: open podium ( (5KL!)
    • Every quartile KL!NK organises an Open Podium where anyone can get on stage and share their poetry. The next open podium is on the 6th October at the Corona Room in Luna starting at 20:00
  • Perform: at the open podium (10KL!)
    • Take the stage and perform your spoken word poetry. The next open podium is on the 6th October at the Corona Room in Luna starting at 20:00
  • Write: a poem for SALT (3KL!)
    • SALT is the Scala newsletter and often features works of KL!NK. If you’d like to write something for SALT ask the head of your house on what to do.
  • Write: a poem for KL!NKstagram / website (3KL!)
    • We love sharing our poetry on our website or KL!NKstagram, you can get your poems on there too! Ask the head of your house on how to get it posted.
  • Write: summer challenge short story (12KL!)
    • This summer, you can write a mysticism-themed short story for our new bundle. Information on how to submit your story is in the Whatsapp group named: Summer Challenge Mysticism.
  • Read: a book from KL!NK Library (4KL!)
    • In the Luna Living Room, we have a small library with books you can borrow, swap or read
  • Do: Something cool
    • Board members can reward you with KL!NKers or Wuhuhuhs when you do something commendable

Collective activities:

  • Write: a pass-through story with your house (2KL! for every participant)
    • Everyone who joins writes a piece of ca. 100-200 words and passes it on to the next one in order to write a collective story.
  • Find: a book that as many house-members have read as possible (1KL! for every participant)
  • Write: an epic/origin story of your house where at least half the house has participated (5KL!)
  • Eat: dinner together (3KL! for every participant)
    • Eat some tasty food at Hubble or the Scala kitchen on Monday before a writing session. Don’t forget to use your KL!NK discount at the register.
  • Get: a drink together (3KL! for every participant)
    • Get a nice drink at Hubble on Monday after a writing session and talk about different KL!NKteresting topics. Don’t forget to use your KL!NK discount at the register.
